MegaKC Supports Critical Upgrades at the Belinder Pump Station Improvements Project

MegaKC is proud to partner on the Belinder Pump Station Improvements Project, a critical Johnson County Wastewater infrastructure upgrade designed to improve reliability, protect water quality, and support long-term wastewater system performance in northeast Johnson County. Originally constructed in the late 1940s, the Belinder Pump Station serves communities throughout the Brush and Rock Creek basins by conveying wastewater to the Nelson Wastewater Treatment Facility. The project will modernize aging infrastructure, expand the facility to meet current building codes, and enhance operational efficiency while maintaining the character and aesthetics of the surrounding Fairway neighborhood. The Belinder Pump Station Improvements Project includes major upgrades to both the dry weather and wet weather pumping systems, new electrical and chemical rooms, flood-proofing measures, HVAC and plumbing improvements, and enhancements to the Peak Excess Flow Treatment Facility (PEFTF). These improvements are especially important during heavy rain events, when excess stormwater can overwhelm the sewer system.

MegaKC remains focused on delivering safe, high-quality infrastructure improvements that minimize disruption to nearby residents while improving essential public utilities across the region. With construction anticipated through early 2028, the Belinder Pump Station Improvements Project represents another investment in reliable wastewater infrastructure. MegaKC is honored to help deliver infrastructure that keeps critical systems operating efficiently for decades to come. (jcwprogram)
