MegaKC is entering a new chapter of leadership as CEO Brian Gordon prepares to retire effective June 12, 2026, and Tyler Wesselman steps into the role of Chief Executive Officer. The transition follows a multi-year succession plan developed by MegaKC’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team to support long-term continuity, stability, and growth for the company and its employee-owners. Gordon shared his confidence in the company’s future, noting that Wesselman and the leadership team have helped position MegaKC for continued success over the last several years.
During Gordon’s leadership, MegaKC experienced significant growth across employee ownership, revenue, profitability, leadership development, and market expansion while continuing to strengthen its employee-owned culture and community-centered values. Wesselman has played an important role in the company’s strategic growth and operational leadership and has worked closely alongside Gordon throughout the transition process. “MegaKC’s success has always been driven by our people, our culture, and our commitment to delivering exceptional work for our clients and communities,” Wesselman said. “I’m excited about the future and grateful for the trust placed in me to lead the next chapter of our company.”
Although stepping away from the CEO role, Gordon will continue serving MegaKC as a Board Member and CEO Emeritus, remaining involved in select industry, client, and employee ownership initiatives. Reflecting on his time with the company, Gordon said the legacy he is most proud of is preserving and strengthening MegaKC’s ESOP culture and creating opportunities for employee-owners.
