Two of MegaKC’s 2020 building projects earned Excellence in Construction Awards from the Associated Builders and Constructors Heart of America Chapter:

  • The Piper Creek Service Area Regional Sewer Improvements project was recognized in the Public Works/Environmental—Under $10 Million category. The new wastewater project in Wyandotte County, Kan., helps relieve strain put on the current sewer infrastructure by the burgeoning population. Managing the jobsite for MegaKC were Matt Conway as superintendent and Alberto Gomez as foreman.
  • Thompson Park earned recognition in the Heavy Infrastructure category. The park in Downtown Overland Park, Kan., features a new amphitheater in the shape of a paper airplane — a nod to the site’s former use as an airstrip. MegaKC’s top field employees on the job were Superintendents Andrew Richardson and Brian Wilson.
