Wastewater Treatment Plant 20

In June 2023, MegaKC was awarded the WWTP 20 Sludge Thickening and Building Repair Project for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, again through the Design-Bid-Build delivery method.

The project scope included necessary repairs to several facility buildings, the demolition and removal of an incinerator, as well as process and electrical equipment, followed by the installation of new process equipment and water lines. During the removal of the 10,000 square feet of brick exterior, significant latent defects from the original construction were uncovered, prompting the Owner, HDR, and MegaKC to devise cost-effective solutions to reinforce the existing building's integrity without exceeding the Unified Government's budget contingency.
