UMKC School of Medicine Steam Line

MegaKC was selected for the UMKC School of Medicine Steam Line project based on our proven qualifications, technical expertise, and history of successfully delivering complex utility infrastructure in campus environments. This conceptual-phase project involves extending a new steam distribution line from the UMKC Health Sciences Building (HSB) to the School of Medicine (SOM), leveraging existing boiler capacity to improve system efficiency and reliability. The proposed alignment routes the steam piping through underground concrete chases, requiring strategic planning and constructability insight to navigate existing campus utilities and minimize disruption. While the project is currently on hold with no set construction timeline, MegaKC’s selection reflects confidence in our team's ability to provide innovative solutions and thoughtful execution when the project advances.
