Birmingham Headworks

Demolition and removal of existing facilities as necessary for construction of project. Construction of new headworks facility within and above existing grit basins, consisting of concrete structures and supports, prefabricated structural enclosure, new force main, grating and hatches, multi-rake bar screens, screenings conveyors, grit removal system, including grit concentrator, grit pumps, grit washing, classification unit, and grit dewatering escalator, slide gates, and weir gates.

Construction of a new masonry electrical room with new electrical gear and modifications to the existing electrical onsite. There are also site improvements including a new headworks road.
