The Swope Park Pool was originally built in 1941 as a Works Progress Administration project pool. The complete renovation of pool included removal and reinstallation of the pool’s water filtration system upgrading the pumps and bath house. The exterior walls and pillars of the surrounding structures experienced significant deterioration due to weathering of the stone. These stones were removed and replaced with custom cut-to-fit stones that were color matched to the existing structure. Site improvements also included the rehabilitation of the 1940's artwork.
